Missing Filipino Food

I miss my home cooked Filipino meal. Although my Inang ( mother) is not the best cook, my Tatang ( father) was. Oh, now I am missing my dad. Funny, how on Sunday is Father's Day and I am missing my father's cooking. I do not eat certain food if my father did not prepare them. Some, if feel icky if not cleaned by my dad. Like "dalag", fish that is grown in muddy waters. I find them yummy but never would I eat it onrestaurants and parties, for the sole reason that my father did not prepare it.

So, the other day, I went on a food trip. Not having a decent Filipino restaurant in my area, I went to the closest it could be. I can not describe the fusion meal at this place but it is a dimsum place with a touch of everything Asian. Well, at least close to my Asian taste. I had a food trip! Food was great, price is ok. The experience is good except for the language barrier. I can not understand anything and if you try to ask what is the food, obviously not able to speak in Cantonese or mandarin, they pretend you know what they are talking about. I guess, I can not complain. So here's what I had!
