Bayong, Wal-Mart version

I saw these at Wal-Mart. Brings back mermories of the bayong or bay-ong as we call them in Ilokano. We use these for everyday things, mostly for market produce. You like? They came in black and white.

And these assorted weaves. This is reaaly reminiscent of the market type in the provinces of the Philippines.

I think I'll stick with the black and white version, how about you?

Went to Wal-Mart early to buy this

...and heard Charice's Pyramid playing, then the Chipmunks DVD teaser was on. Too bad, did not catch the part where she was singing because Venice was on the phone inviting me for lunch. This, only at 8am after
dropping the kids off to school. My day is starting. Happy Thursday peeps!

Bag update

I think April is Marc Jacobs month for me. I bought not one, but two- TWO of his classic bags. I got the Large Single in black. The leather is so luxurious and yummy.  There's something about this bag that makes it so classy and sophisticated but edgy-a la Marc. The craftmanship, as with any other luxury brand is impeccable. I readily noticed the quilting--- very well done. It has the old charm of the famous Chanel flap, without the tag price- not to say this came cheap, but considering the price of a Chanel flap? This is a bargain, I could buy the coral version and the clay one! I also like the leather portion of this updated version of the Large Single. This bag can carry tons! Iphone, small makeup kit, a small bottle of Purell, my LV Sarah wallet, a rosary, set of keys and a tiny pack of tissue! I carried this baby last Easter with some cheap cage shoes and I felt so lady-like! That's the beauty with this bag, I feel that you  can dress it up or you can dress down--- a knitted top and jeans, armed with this beauty? You are ready for the evening too!

And.... I got this much coveted Stardust Large Cecilia in classic black....yahoo!
Eye catching and simply the best. I promise to update this post once I have modeling pictures.

By the way, a Longchamp Eiffel Tower duffel bag is on the way... can not wait for Mr. Fed-Ex!

My favorite things on my work breaktime

I read at home, I read while traveling, on the grass, while on the phone and I especially like reading while on my break-- at work. I love my juice guys too. Tom and Tom. I have Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks wihtin 5 minutes walking distance, an Au Bon Pain and a CVS inside my workplace. How cool is that? Not! Bad for me.

I am reading this part of the book now. I think it applies to everything. Being simple. Do not make things so complicated. I think I need to ameliorate...oooppss... just testing you.

Now, time to go back to work, children.

Another KC day

With her chandelier top.
Her favorite Holiday/Winter pendant from Juicy Couture. Early initiation is the best. Hahahha.

And the leggings? Killer

This is a practice post for my newly acquired knowledge of mobile blogging. See my post below so you can do it too.

Thought I'd share

Since I am not without my iPhone, I always take pictures using the built-in camera. Though it is not the greatest, it improved a lot way back from the first generation  Iphone. It was very crapy then. Anyway, because of this blog, I feel the need to accompany my entries with pictures. Plus, sometimes, there are just things better presented with a photo. Since me and SiPhone (yes, that's her name) are best buddies, why not? So, I have been diligently looking for a way to write entries from my iPhone. I know a lot of people have been doing this with a typepad universal account but it is very tedious. So, now with the OS 3.0 of the iPhone and mail2blogger,   I can send multiple pictures with my entries- on the go, instant and with accompanying text. It even publishes it automatically-or not, if you prefer. I want it published automatically. That's my whole purpose anyway. Instant gratification. Now, if only there is a way for me to link it to FB, automatically. Hmmm.  Anyway, here is the step-by-step tutorial on how to create your mail2blogger account. It is so easy! Try it. Also, try sending multiple photos in one email. Definitely one of the most ignored yet best feature of the OS 3.0 update. Easy Tutorial here. Now, I am ready for my mobile blogging. I can update my blog on a more regular basis now. Yahoo. The next entry might just be the one.

There's no stopping her

My baby is growing! She is totally not into dressy styling. She's into funky, cool fashion sense. Today, she wore denim shorts over purple leggings with butterfly inlays.

If only I can stop her from growing. But then I am also looking forward to a more mature bonding time with her. I'd like to go to Europe with her, shopping endlessly,  just sitting on the beach--- me with my books and she on the other hand, with her painting stuff probably creating the best scenery painting of cape Cod. I know I will not be able to stop time, but I can definitely enjoy her now. I love it when she asks me to fix her hair, when she asks me if her top matches her pants,  I secretly smile when she assures me she will always be with me--- even if the boys are out with their girls, I get a heavy heart when she tells me she will go to a local arts school so that she can take care of me and her dad and I cherish the time she makes me upset because she  is having "growing attitudes".

My girl is growing. I am afraid. I am cautious. I am confident that she will grow up to be what she envisions herself to be--- a  good teacher, an artist and a "good Mom, just like you Mom". This video makes me the proudest Mom in the world. In fact, I thought I was the best in the room full of great moms as well.

Don't you wish we all recycle?

Seen these around Children's Hospital Boston. Not your typical boring recycling receptacle. Beautiful! Kudos to the Engineering and Environmental Services for coming up with this bright idea. I just wish we have these all over town. How about that, Mr. Mayor?

Do your part today. Recycle!
