Saturday is for fishing

Mr. Hubbs and I decided that we will just spend the day fishing. We usually go to Falmouth to fish, well, mostly, I play in the water. I am a water baby, being raised in Aparri must be to blame. What i love about that fishing spot though is its proximity to Woods Hole, we can go to the Wood's Hole Oceonographic Institute and to do a  a whole lot more. There's a lot of unique restaurant, quaint shops and warm beaches.  Falmouth is a beautiful, historic town in Cape Cod MA.

We started off at Wareham, touted as the gateway to Cape Cod. We moved after 2 hours in the dock with little to show off.  Then, we proceeded to Falmouth.

Let me just show you pictures of the day and i will let you gauge the "fun" level we had today.

We started the day at 10am. We decided to drive two cars because my 3 in-laws plus my sister-in-law's hubbs came too. I prefer this set-up eventhough it is more gas money because with extra car, the kids and I can always go roam around town if we get bored with fishing.

Here, Lovely ( Ma Lovella), my kids' cousin who people used to think was one of my children because she used to tag along with us a LOT ( now, she is 15 and waaay too busy) carries KC.

Our customary "feet" shot + Tito Eddy's toes, yikes!!!

First catch of the day! yes! From Tito Rey.

Kuya Pherry got a double whammy! Good catch!

And these little  shrimps(?) abound just on the sides of the wood dock, with little crabs! I forgot to take photos of the crabs.

Yes, Josh loves to reel. What amazes me is that KC can throw and reel really well, better than the boys, i must say.

Oh, we took our new Keen's-sandals for a spin today. We love these sandals-  light, flexible, washable and those toe protectors are industry standard. I know, I sound like a sales rep, but I am not. Funny!

For some unexplained reason, every fishing trip, we catch this ugly creature and up to now, I have not researched the name. Help me identify this ugly, scary creature of the wild. hahhahha.

That usually signals that it is time to go home, or in this case to move...

Off we go to Falmouth.... where the water is clear and warmer compared to the rest of the Cape.

Josh found some digging crabs. I asked him what they were and he said digging crabs, I must have had the "question" look, that he went on to explain that they dig to hide, therefore they are digging crabs...

Water, sand, shells bring back nostalgic childhood memories. Ahhhh, Aparri!

I must have done this moment in my life a few hundred thousand times. You see I live I live in a town surrounded with water, the Cagayan River nd South China Sea. The mouth of the great Cagayan River is right in my neck of the woods.

I usually would take snapshots of the kids, showing how big they are now, like here. Joshua's feet were so tiny, now look at these! My babies are growing and soon, I will be dealing with beach outings wityh their teen age friends, or girlfriends.

The day is filled with so much fun, fish and family! Tons of fish- and a striper bass! Here is my obligatory shot for my blog... I just say that so KC will take a picture of me... Shhhh. How about you? How does your family spend weekends?
