I have been wearing "ewwglasses" since forever. I had those Garfield frames, some Hello Kitty ones but I never let people knew I had eye defect. In fact, many of my high school classmates may not know I HAD to wear those pesky ones. I probably had my first one like in 3rd grade or so, but never wore one in high school, although I would constantly squint. I hated it. My Tatang used to blame my reading into the dusk till dawn with my eye problems. It was not bad, I have to say. I could see but not in so much detail or color. In high school where we have the projector for mass songs, those I can not read, when I am at the back of the room, I would not know if the teacher is already eyeing me, or when people are giving me the bad face, I would still smile, BECAUSE I can not see details.
Internship for laboratory science was the bomb. Playing with those microscopes made my eyesight the worst! But, still I did not wear glasses. I would sneak and wear the old, old one i had but I would die before you catch me with it. So that was my tiny little secret. Needless to say it got worse. Before I came to the US, I ordered a pair. I wore it to work all the time but took it off when everyone else was around, or when I have breaks, which literally is non existent. So finally, I gave in. What the heck! I would alternate my contact lenses and the eyeglasses but I wear my contacts more, for you know me, I do not like them eyeglasses. They are ridiculously expensive too.
So anyway, I got new ones. Got myself this black frame and the transition lenses which makes it look like a sunglass when the sunrays hit it up. Man, those Gucci frames are expensive, add the transition lenses and it costs me my mortgage! Hahhahah. No, for real! I have to wait a couple of weeks before I get them. I will edit this post and post "fab" pics, promise! NOT.
