Eclipse 2017, not about the Eclipse

Please do not ask me where I have been. Also, I am not crazy with the eclipse. I just wanted to reactivate my blogging and the more i PROCRASTINATE coz I have a lot to catch on, the more I am buried, so i figured I can just start today hoping the eclipse would "energize" me.

Anyway, Pherry is going back to school soon and he will be a sophomore! Unbelievable. He picked up Fencing in college. Pherry started basketball, he didn't like it, partially coz of Chris. Chris is a little too pushy and hardcore when it comes to sports. Then he did chess, that he liked but he never really got to it. He also did table tennis, which he plays once in a while. Did you know he plays the ukelele?

KC and I are busy prepping for her debutante's ball. Actually, she is upstairs creating an iMovie for her "save the date". KC will be very busy this school year as she was elected Class President of the Juniors. I am so excited for her. She did all her campaigning on her own, not a single help from us---she made her own speech and all that. So proud of this young lady.

Josh? My baby Josh is going to be a freshman this Fall. How did this ever happen? How?  In fact, he just finished his 3-day intro to ROTC. In connection to that, he will not be going to Quincy Highschool like Pheery and KC. Instead, he is attending North Quincy High. Why, i don't know. i think he just wants to be different from the two.

Mr. Hubbs, aka Chris is doing really good.  He is crazy working night shift but it works for him, so i let him be. I prodded him many times over to go back to dayshift. We both go at the shooting range once in a while but we have not been, as we got so busy with family.

Me? I changed jobs. In fact, I'd be celebrating my one year anniversary this week at this new job. It's doing well---albeit a few hiccups, as any other job is. The good thing is, I REALLY LOVE WHAT I DO, so any shitty stuff, I can take. The great thing is --- my co-supervisors are awesome! My bag collection? I have not purchased any major stuff for 2 years now --- until we went to Montreal this month. I bough a crocodile!!!!! I now have a rabbit, a snake and a crocodile in my closet.

What else can I tell you? The restaurant scene in my city is booming. We have been busy exploring but it gets to be expensive. Oh, wait. I went to do a mystery shopping kind of thing and I got paid a whopping----$12.00. Hahahhaha. Hey, its lunch money.

I miss my friends. I visited family this month but my friends and I have not been together for weeks now.

I am helping plan a Filipino Food Fest. i'll let you know when that happens.

Now more than ever, I appreciate my parents for sending us to college on their own, without loans or dole outs. I only have Pherry and it has been extremely difficult with us financially. I can only imagine my parents who sent all of us ( 10), at times, three at a time! What makes it even more admirable is that my parents both do  not even have education whatsoever. If my dad is to be believed, he said he only reached 6th grade. But he was such a good businessman--- a humane businessman. MAybe, that's where Pherry and Josh got their math wizards? No? My mom was a great orator and for a very long time, a public servant. Yes, not a politician but a public servant. Maybe, that is why KC is good at campaigning? No?

It's been a wonderful summer here in Boston. We spent 2 weeks in Montreal. Oh, I have a lot of memories to share to you about that.

My health is not doing well. I have been gaining weight lately so I am working on making some changes. Today, I activated my activity and sleep tracker. I synced it with my iPhone  and set 8 hours sleep monitoring and 10,000 steps. Hopefully I can really be on top of this. Please let me know on your comments below, how you keep healthy.

We bought PCs for KC and one for Chris and me to use. Hoepfully that will help with my blogging. LOL.

Updates---so far away, yet so close

Trivia: For a blogger to update you on what's going on? It means the blogger sucks! And that's ME.

Sorry folks. But as yet again, let me update you and hopefully from here we can blog as usual, AGAIN?

1. I have a new job. Sorta new job. I kinda veered away from being a lab rat to do some management stuff of some lab rats. Teehee!!!

• I pray,  not to be a management person whom I hated for so many reasons.
• You know. Insensitive ones, inconsiderate and most of all---ego-centric!
• I can't tell you how I am doing, i'd be biased but I think I am better than I thought I would be. Tolerant. Me? Yup!
• My old colleagues always ask me how's the new job, I always answer---challenging but rewarding.
• I have met so many good people---so far, I have yet to find a " work friend". Because aside from someone from way back, I have not hung out with anyone yet. So now, I gotta admit, "I miss you Zonette." Mwaaaah!
• That's gotta change.
• My new boss is so totally cool. Hard act to follow. Way tolerant. Than me.
• I have been missing my social life because of this new job.
• I am not complaining BTW.
• My friend HG told me " sis, you don't have a balance life anymore." Sad.
• Very sad.
• I went thrift shopping for " business casual" outfits because all I have is not management level on a day to day basis. And I was not gonna spend for a new job, I needed the job---meaning --no money, so why go spend?
• I try to rationalize my inexpensive clothes with my expensive bags. So far, no one noticed. My bags. Hahahhaha. I purchased so many new bags. But that's not in  this part of the blog.
• For the holiday season, I've seen my new colleagues in a different light and I love it! Obviously, they are hard working professionals but they are funny too.
• Dontcha worry, I behaved. Really, I did. Promise. No karaoke and no pole dancing. Not that I do. Huh? Who does?
• My new job requires me to go to different sites ---in the campus. No offense, but can I travel OUTSIDE?  Like even outside Boston? Hahahahhaha. Just saying. Jealousy strikes me again with your travels HG.
• With all the walking I do, I have yet to lose a single pound. Nada, zilch, none---WALA!

2. The holiday season passed like whoops.. gone?

• I did manage to decorate the house. RN Eric, said I must have a secret decorator-on-site.
• Proud to say, I don't. Teehee!!!
• I bought so many BAGS.
• My first Valentino Garavani bag---the Rock Stud in Pony hair. Get Out. Yup, I did. Pony hair people! Happy dancing here.
• Some buttery leather Burberry bag. Not counting the other 3 for the summer sale. So 4. Hmmm. Bad.
• 3 Rebecca Minkoff bags. Was it 3? Maybe four. Alright 4.
• Some "I can't count" Marc Jacobs bagssss. Clue, it's in the bagssss.
• My first Ferragamo wallet. (slaps face) Ferragamo, what the heck? And tell me, why are they expensive again? No clue. I used it for the first time tonite. I call it the brag nite. Marc Jacobs Large Single in classic black and the Ferragamo wallet. D-light!
• Lotsa Juicy Couture accesories. Why no? yeah, why not?
• Saw the Rockettes for the first time. Kinda cool. I went with Josh, Preshie Boo and my favorite person in the whole wide world.... Pits!
• I had to say that. She bought my ticket. See, she is my fave!
• Parties, but I loved singing "go tell it in the mountains, Jesus Christ is born."
• Sweet and nice to see families in the church ringing Christmas bells as we sing our hearts out.
• It seems I have become the official " prayer person" before the meal. I love.
• I missed the ice sculptures this year.
• I do not have new year's resolution. I should not anymore.
• I do have 2012 goals. In another blogpost.
• I realized after looking at holiday fotos, I keep wearing the same red dress from Express (gasp!) every year. Two things. Good and bad. Good--- I still fit--snuggly, that is. Bad----- the pictures prove I keep wearing them. Is that bad at all?
• I loved seeing friends who I rarely see. Yup, that' you Ann, PJ, Diane and Iris. I miss you Dom!
• I have never been more stressed than this year's holiday. Wham! The holidays are here?
• The promised gifts for the kids are still that. Promises. I promised to get them each the iPod Touch with the Target promo, costing me only about  $134.00. BY  THE TIME i WOKE UP FROM MY HOLIDAY SLUMBER, ALL THEY HAD WAS  A RAIN CHECK.
• Ooops, my bad.
• Funny story. HG bought SisSol and me the Michael Kors/Estee Lauder collaboration make-up set. What's funny? I bough HG and SisSol the same. Lame.
• I got great gifts because I got good friends. Thanks.
• I volunteered to help Josh' class to make Ginger bread house.

3. The 3 Little Monkeys are growing so fast.

• So fast, I can't keep up.
• They have inside jokes I can't seem to understand, only to register in a few minutes then I laugh and they each look at me and sheepishly smile.
• Like they have a crazy mom. They probably do, don't you think?
• They are still as sweet as before. Especially Josh.
• KC is an Honor student. Should have been a High Honor student ( all A's) except for that stupid Math. Hmmp! I wonder where she got that? Not me for sure. HAhahahahha.
• KC is participating in a lot of school programs---drama, swimming, Glee, school government and DARE dance.
• She will be joining a fundraising for projects of Filipino nurses here in the Boston area for the Philippines.
• 'Nuff said.
• Christopher, shall we say, is 13. So yeah. 13.Anyway, he is the technical/curtain raiser for a Spanish fashion show in their school. Cool, if you ask me.
• They all want to go to Thayer Academy. Uhmmm...where will I get 43,000 US dollars? Yup, try 43,000 times 3 and some curricular fees? No. Not in my life. Unless I win the lottery or some guy dropped dead and he happens to carry a million dollars while I was walking and no one is there..... errrrr, nope.
• I am enjoying my kids more now more than ever. Except the annoying sarcasm they seem to hit each other all the time. But then, they alright after. Ahhhh, maybe I am just getting old. Not able to decipher jokes.
• Josh is as usual, the perfect student. Unbelievably great!

3. Family and friends are all great except for a minor family thing-y. But as I say, God knows what is best for us, He delivers us from a life of doom. Whether we like it or not, He straightens our paths long before we see it. So, to my dear beloved, chin up for you are loved!

The party you are tring to reach is BUST/ BUSY

Well, well, what do you know? I will spill out stuff I have not posted as yet... and if you know me... it may not be posted at all. Oooops. Sorry.

1. Bdays---

1.  RN Eric and Ben had a joint celebration at the Sabijon Heights last September.
2. KC turned 11 last September 16th. We had a party. Yellow and blue. I have pictures. I have no time.
3. Josh turned 9 last October 8. He is a happy baby. That Minado treat is expensive, Josh. Never again.
4. Mr. Hubbs and my niece Fridah ( uber model) surprised me last week---for my bday!!!! Fantabulous. It would have been more fantabulous if it was FantabuLOUIS. Yah know--- saome kind of rhyme Lu-wew Button. Aha!

2. Fall is here. Almost over if you ask me and I have not been to the apple farms. BUT-- I have been to 2 small Fall festivals---one at BeechwoodKnoll in Wollaston Quincy and at Wollaston School. I liked BWK better. More organized and more stuff to do. What did we do? Face painting, carnival rides, cotton candy, decorate pumpkins and pony rides. Wheeew. We did go to the Wareham Cranberry Festival which was awesome! I love love it!. This is definitely worth blogging.

3. The block rosary is doing really well. I am so loving it. I am a Paulinian after all. ;  ).

4. HG moved to Quincy already. Exciting. My sisters are so close by. Easier to plan stuff. Massage, threading, facials and DINNER!!!! Woohoo!

5. I have not been to the movies for.so.long.

6. Mr. Hubbs and I have not gone out on a proper date for.so.long. Yah knowww--that date where you dress up. Ah, forget it. Hihihihiih.

7. KC is back to dance school. The boys refuse to do so after their classes are split up. BTW, that guy Kenny Wormald of Footloose movie is a graduate of KC's dance school. Name dropping much?

Ok so I guess this is not an update... more like summary. My gosh golly wow!!!! I have so many things to tell you about. I have no excuse for not writing except that I am overly --- BUSY? Nope. Anyway... since this is an online blogging thing for my family, I have to chronicle our day to day life. What day to day life? i can't even write every week and i say day to day? I try, at least. Anyway, these are the things I wanted to blog about but got buried deep and you know what they say, the more stuff piled up, the lazier you are to start. Who said that?

I promise to write each summarized event in detail next time but for now, I do not like  the summer to end without laying all these happenings cause then, they will all be forgotten. BTW, they may not be in order, I will just rumble whatever is in my brain. BRAIN? I do have a brain? Wowzee!

1. Spring vacation was awesome. We started off to Mystic Museum in CT and visited the seaside campus of Celtic's Ray Allen. Stayed overnight and headed   off to Philadelphia the next day. I love Philly--and the cheesesteak is the bomb! We went to a couple of "recommended" and voted best Philly cheesesteak. I can tell you, nothing beats oldtime style--mom and pop stores are the best. We visited the usual historic sites we love like the Liberty Bell and some other stuff. But, BUT for me, I love the Old Wanamaker Building, now occupied by a Macy's at Market St. Don't miss the Wanamaker Organ and the Grand Court. I love it and
the best thing? It is FREE! Ring a bell, FREE! Well, mostly all the historic sites in Philly are free like washington DC. NOw, that's America. If only Disneyworld is free. I'd live there. Well, hello Mr. Disney, can I work for lifetime free tickets?

We did not plan any of this " Spring break" vacation. In fact, I had to go to Macy's to shop for 1 day outfits for all of us because we.do.not.have.anything. Yup, that's how we roll!

2. Easter was great!

3. Father's Day. I treated Mr. Hubbs to a nice lunch at Kingfish Hall in Quincy Market. Of course the whole family and the geng was there, including Ben and Caitlin with Tia Bibing. More on  these friends soon. After lunch, we walked to the North End and headed to Mike's Pastry. Oooooh, the cannolis are the best. Then, some of us took a short cruise to the other end of Boston and back. It was a nice  time with family and friends. Before we ended the day, my family went to visit  Mr. Hubbs Tatay ( father) at the cemetery. Then we went to Wolllaston Beach and just people watched. Yes, I love watching people. the weather is great and perfect for just lying on the sand.

3. The Boston Bruins is the Stanley Cup champs!!! Yes! Let me tell you, we went to the parade! It was crazy, crazy crazy! I willl have to show you pics soon to show the craziness. Suffice to say, we were crazy just for going---the trains were PACKED! Promis to tell you more soon.

4. Oh, Summer is here. First wave of summer we headed to New Hampshire---Gunstock Mountain for our Fourth of July celebration.  We rented a chalet with my "geng". Geng= Sol, Grace, Venice and Fridah and the boys. Yup V and G, you need to take home those boys soon. LOL. I had so much fun at the Gunstock Mountain Resort because there was an arts and crafts fair on the grounds. Me on vacation plus arts and crafts= awesomeness. But the kids loved the scenic lift rides and the paddle boats, kayaks and canoes by the pond. Ok, ok, I'll admit it---I had so much fun kayaking too. When I see the whole family giggling and just having fun, i want to freeze the moment. yup, praying all these happy memories will be treasured and that the Three Monkeys would have warm thoughts reminiscing. We had fun swimming by the lake which is a mere 5 minute drive from our rented chalet. Of course, we visited Weirs Beach, the home of the Annual Motorcycle Rally. I was not impressed with the tiny beach and the supposed beautiful view of Lake Winnipeesaukee Lake. Maybe, because I have seen it from Meredith NH and had a tour starting from Meredith. I just love the town of Meredith.
We bought a little stash of fireworks and lighted up the night. It was fun.... great people, great time.

5. Pherry's bday. We celebrated Pherry's bday in Montreal with his cousin Joei. Joie's bday is the 18th and she turned 11, while Pherry is 13 on the the 19th. It was the first meeting of my kids and 2 other cousins--- AJ and Andrei, beautiful kids of my youngest sister Bernanette. I was very very happy for my kids to finally have cousins their age---I know that feeling. So, it was so much fun watching them and seeing how they bonded so quick. Now, we have another set of 3  Ambiongs--- AJ, Joie and KC, just like me and my 2 sisters--Bernadette, Bernabeth and Bernanette. And oh, that darn Andrei is so kyoot!!! He is still learning to speak English and I love it. He kinda just jive in and roll it out with Josh and Precious. Of course, I had so much time with my 3 sisters too. Yup, you guessed it--- we ate, and ate--and ate! My sister Janette is the best! She cooks way too much food---and I say 'ok let's eat! LOL. During this trip, my brother-in-law Atoy bought his fancy schmancy white Lexus. Top that! He deserves it---my sister and him are hard workers and they are good people. They need to reward themselves more.... and me too. They need to reward me by letting me have that fancy Lek-soos in my hands baby.... I t is always sad to say goodbye. I saw it in KC's eyes, she was sad. SHe finally has cousins who she can bond and have the same interests and she knows they love her. I saw Josh wanting to cry-- and Pherry-- ahhhhh.

6. My sister-in-law died of breast cancer last week of July.

7. Boston day trip--- we finally did the Codzilla and it was so much fun. Although a bit pricey, I still like it. The Three Monkeys enjoyed it too. We took the T to Boston and enjoyed every bit of it---except the soaking rain. We dined at Bertucci's by the Faneuil Hall in Quincy Market and had fried dough. Cheers to fried dough! Who doesn't love fried dough?

8. Another Montreal trip! This time it is a week long vacation and we did so much more. Since we did the Old Montreal visit and biking last time, this time we visited Mont Tremblant. This is the second timwe we visit this place. I think this place is overpriced for the attraction it offers---but I love the Euro feel of the entire resort. We all trooped to see Montgolfieres' International Balloon Festival. Now, this is worth it. I think we paid about $65.00 foir a family of five---the grounds is loaded with all baloon ganes you can think of, is so organized and huge AND we got to see Kesha and LMFAO at night! I know, we should not be bringing the kids to see Kesha, right? Waaahahhhaha. We all loved it. Unfortunately the hot air balloon show was scrapped because of bad weather. but it was still fun. My sister janette was funny---she kept asking why Kesah sings this--and that---profanity laced songs, you know and kept noticing how she is not skinny as the other girls on TV.... om my sister, geez!

Aside from all these, we had a blast just hanging out at my sister's house in Lachine Quebec--- a 15 minute drive to Montreal. Everyday we go swimming, biking or just playing basketball. Oh, oh, by the way, we extended our stay there because Mr. Hubbs and my 2 brothers-in-law wanted to join the basketball league at Snowdon Church. Oh, if I can only tell you the truth----but I am a good wife, so I will tell you that they did well.... LOL.

We were invited to  a few dinners by our cousins and good friends. My cousin Bing is fabulous---she serves the best food. What's better than good food and good family around? Nothing!  We had such fun time just teasing each other and reminiscing stories from back home. So, if you know me ( I laugh LOUD---as in LOUD), amplify that by the number of cousins and nieces and nephews and boy, you get a riot equal to that RIOT in Vancouver when the Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins---- hahahhahha, got to rub that in, eh?

Before we left, we celebrated AJ's bday! My beautiful niece is now a teenager, how bittersweet. It means the original  Ambiong beauties are old! Hahaahhaha. Anyway, I did not spend a lot of time with her because we moved to the US by then so it was really a nice bonding with her this time . She is so sweet and such a responsible big sister to Andrei. I love you AJ!

9. We are on the finishing touches of the patio we built. Yup, we built it ourselves! I will post pics soon.

Hopefully that covers it for now. Labor Day here in the US and the kids and I went school supply shopping. Wheeew, I need more money! But at least, because we shopped this late, theere was no craziness and much of the stuff is on clearance sale already, so all is good. I need to tell you again that Target is the best place to shop for clearance.

Ooooohh... September! I went to a couple of shops and they have Halloween decors already on sale=-==if you were in the Philippines, you'd hear Christmas music and Christmas trees are up!
September is also my only Princess' birthday month! I love you September, you bring beauty to this world!

Update : what's happened the last part of 2010

Ok. Where to start? Dang! I always end up promising to write everyday. Sorry, this will have to be one of those bullet blog entries just so I can chronicle my life. Remember, I started this blog as my online family diary. It does not have a theme--- a family theme I guess, but it is personal life. I have no agenda or whatso-evah. Not like other blogs where they write about specific stuff. Not me. I just want to look back and see all these entries and reminisce.

1. KC turned 10 last September. We had a simple dinner with a few of her friends at the South Shore mall. Instead of having loot bags, I let them go shopping at a&f and pick just 1 item at the  sale table. I did not realize how chaotic my idea was--- what with 8 girls!!! Never doing that again.

Josh, turned 8 October and I brought them to Quincy Marriott for swimming with his special friend Kirsten. You see, she is the only close friend he got who have been consistently there. Ben, another good friend moved to another city. Dinner is at Bertucci's with the Llaga's of Presidential Estate.

I turned another year older in Ocotber too. Instead of buying a bag --- I bought 5 leather Coach shoes. Stop rolling your eyes. So what? It's my birthday.

2. We moved into a house with 3 bedrooms--- 3 bedrooms! yahoo! KC finally got her own space. It is always an emotional roller coaster everytime I think about our home. I purchased my condo before I turned 30, with the intention of being a "transitional" residence until we can find a suitable home. Then, the market crashed--- there goes my plan in the drain. The house is a very old house but it has a lot of character. My landlord's son is this humble lawyer who went to the same school as my eldest. I met Ruth once only, but I feel she is a good person. The house is in town center, so we benefit with the vibrant city life --- lots of fusion restaurants and easy access to Boston. I skipped decorating for Thanksgiving and went straight to Christmas--- I had so much fun!!! Fast forward to today---- we went bed shopping at Jordan's Furniture and I got my 3 kids their own beds. Each one of them have their own bed. I guess I even went overboard--- I got KC a princess-like canopy bed. Soon, my kids will shut the door on me and be hooked up on the phone all day... hopefully that won't happen soon.


3.During the holidays--- we had so much parties going on.  Aside from having my first "real" tree, here's what's notable.

a. Met new friends at our annual "get to know more people" holiday party---- Hi Tony, Nat, Yasmine's family, Tin and Kathy.  Ayi ( Eugene's fiancee was there too. I met her before but this is the first time we hang out together. As always, the "monito-monita portion is really good. Did I say we played "Pinoy Henyo" and the boys lost? TWICE. Losers!

b. Had fun at Plymouth yearly holiday parade in the Town Square-- Mr. Hubbs and the kids love the FREE apple cider. The town square was just beaming with happy families. They had costumed carolers going around everywhere--- they had ice sculptures too. Just beautiful time with family.

c. We went to see a New England tradition--- the Enchanted Village at the Jordan's Furniture and got to see the Polar Express 3D. It was truly enchanting and beautiful. Oh, yeah they have the laser LITE show. The only one of its kind in the world. Check it out.  The village was like a "Christmas postcard" from the '70s.

d. Shopping was fun and tiring. I got very beautiful gifts from my great friends. I should note the engraved bracelet by RN Eric--- Mr. Hubbs' new BFF. I got a great deal with those Red Sox jackets that Mr. Hubbs had for Father's Day when we went to see the RS play. It was my first time at Fenway by the way. Aaaaw! So, I grabbed like a dozen of them and gave them to my bro-in-laws and close friends. Gifts here and there....I love seeing happy faces.

e. Christmas dinner was at the Llaga's of Brockton. As always  tons of food.

f. I went to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Boston Pops with Keith Lockhart. We were so close to the stage. My only regret? I should have brough KC with me. I was with my niece Pits. We dressed up really lovely.Without any intentions, we carried our Marc Jacobs Large Single purses...beautiful girls love the same purses. She has 2 kids of her own---Jem ( about 1 year old) and Ice ( 5) , so we really make fancy things when we can bond away from the Hubbs and the kids.

g.  New year's eve dinner--- simple "breakfast-dinner" at home with SisSol, RN Eric, VinceKat and the Llaga's of Presidential Estate. We all went to the mass and we had a very good sermon from the priest.

h. My sister Janette, Ice, Kc and me went to see Boston Ballet's The Nutcracker. Again, my first time. The Symphony Hall is majestic. I am hoping we could do this as family tradition. I wish my sister is going to move to Boston from Montreal. Please!!! Then, it was time for Llaga family gathering  for new year's welcome. We all welcomed the new year with dancing and food.

i. New year's day is at my house! All the people that mattered to me were there. Family and friends! I would  have wanted all my sisters and brothers, but for now-- I am happy for all these blessings.  All credit for the sumptous food that everyone raved about goes to my  sister Janette. Can you move here already?

4. Boston weather has been nasty. Twenty five inches of snow and 4 weeks of continuous snowstorm is hammering the state. The good thing about this? We have been enjoying neighborhood sledding. I'm too chicken to bring the kids to snow tubing and resort type winter activities. I guess, because I have seen so many kids rushed to the ER because of nasty accidents.

5. I have been enjoying the company of my girlfriends. Party because we like it is so much fun. The Llaga's of PE discovered this Pho restaurant in North Quincy and we've been going there lately. Last time was with Amor ( Mr. Hubbs' nephew) and of course, SisSol and RN Eric. I highly recommend having 1 or 2 great girlfriends. Friends make life interesting --- laughing at the most trivial things and knowing what the other is thinking just by looking at each other. A couple of weeks ago, SIsSol and HG and me went to SSP and had make-up sessions at Bare Escentuals, bough our own sets and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It was so cold and we got locked out of the mall. We had to walked around the mall to get into our cars. i tell you, everything is bearable if you are with friends. Nevertheless, I was shivering, Ahahhahha.

6. Too many bags, too many shoes.

7. Pherry is part of the Central Middle School's Lego team again. They did not win, but it was fun seeing the kids enjoy building and be  team players. Someday, someday.

8.  KC and Pherry are both attending the Milton Academy Saturday Courses. Brilliant kids make a happy mommy! Last week, KC was invited to take the SAGES test for gifted students. Pherry is already a certified gifted student as far as SAGES certification is concerned. What can I say? Wait! KC is invited by her Milton Academy teacher to be her "little coach" to an upcoming science exhibit sponsored by MIT in Belmont MA. Are you awake yet? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, MIT!!! MIT!!! Ibang level na ito!

9. Did I tell you Mr. Hubbs bought me a beautiful diamond ring? All of 2.52 carats baby. The biggest stone in the middle is 0.75 but the quality of the stones ---- yummy! It is my first "expensive" piece. All my jewelry are given to me either by Inang ( mom) or my sisters--- lucky  me, ha? He has been bugging me about getting one but I am not one who clamors for jewelry. So, it was really a good treat for me. The best of all? I got to pick it myself!!! BTW, there is a side story about buying me a ring. He came home once, telling me how he saw the nurses he works with have these huge stones on their rings and why i do not have one. I told him, because I don't have to. He said, I should get at least one. I reiterated my lack of desire, although I would love it if he buys it for me---- makes for a better story. You know, when you say -- " oh, this? It's beautiful? Thank you, my husband/Bf got it for me."  He said to get one for Christmas. I never bothered. Until that day. Ha! He did not realize how expensive "those big rocks" are! He must have been regretting while signing the receipt. I am enjoying all the complements I have been getting recently though. I never understood the relationship of women and diamond. Ahhh, same way not a lot of people understand my relationship with bags.

10. Josh is preparing for his first communion. He did his first confession on February 2. I am sad, I was unable to attend, but I made sure I prepared his outfit and that Daddy was there for him.

11. Because KC has been really good in school and all her other activities, we decided it is time for her to get her first American Girl doll. Boy, was she giddy when her Dad went with her to the store. You see, KC and the boys have Sunday school and hip-hop on Thursday. Then she has ballet/ta/jazz classes on Wednesdays. Mondays/Wednesdays are after school programs. I think she does Sports Extravaganza and Showbiz. Saturday is for Milton Academy.  She is busy and sometimes she gets tired but never really wanted to drop any of the activities. She deserves to finally have that doll.
